It's been a while i have been busy with my crow shooting and rabbiting and also became a father again.I was out last saturday shooing crows i had my dog with me to flush for me i shot two crows which was 40yards up above the trees and it was windy as hell so the wind took them 100 yards onto main road.

I went out ferreting yesterday and got soaked but we got two rabbits not a big bag but it fed the ferret kits hopefuly i will be out with the gun tomorrow

A short season

well the seaso was a short one as my hunting buddy chris as had a bad year his dad got cancer and he was spending as much time as possible with him he is ok now though and i hope he stays well this time.So i have been making nets and learning new skills trapping and snaring. And a old hobbie came back to stick making

Hot Hot Hot

Well today me and Chris(the rambler)dean was out to help a young lad called Joe Holt get on the top of is rabbit problem at one of his permissions so an early start for me up at 5.30am to take the dog out for a walk and then go and pick the ferrets up from the farm.So that took me up to 6.00am and then it was time to go and pick Chris up for 6.30 and then the drive to Skipton to collect Joe up and on the way to the permission Joe drops a another job on us by saying just while we are passing just call here there is one set i want to try first 150 yards of net to go all the way around this one

then we set of to the place we was meant to be going to after we called for a butty for breakfast so we set to and net the first warren up and it was slow we got one nice bolt and then we had a dig for the second
so that's 4 in the bag and then we went to the third warren which we have had some great bag from before but that was slow i put it down to the hot weather. We got another 6 out of here

first day out with the ferrets

Well today was the first day out with the ferrets and two of last years kitts for the first time doing what thay well do for the rest of there lifes and thay work really well it was a good morning a part from the rain we did to warrens. we started ferreting at 8.00am and finished by 11.30am the team i was working with was chris(therambler)dean and young joe holt who is very keen at the game it was on young joe permission we end the day with 14 big heathly rabbits which will be made into pies by farmers produce
we had a good morning out but we got soaked

The season is upon us

The season as started and i am a team member down as my dog as just pupped so the rats are out of bounds for me at the moment.And any bushing i normally do  is off for a month or two i will post on my antics on saturday with pics
